Decolonized: The Matriarchs celebrates the profound legacy of Black and Native American women—the original architects of our cultural landscape. Through a powerful blend of live performance, archival visuals, and historical storytelling, this "performance-lecture" examines how Indigenous and Black artistry has been influenced, misappropriated, and ultimately reclaimed. Part of the intimate “Live in the Lounge” performance series, Stagebound, Inc., Presents, in partnership with NATS-LA (National Association of Teachers of Singing – Los Angeles), In Her Key at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles, a cultural venue that centers its programming around women’s stories, arts, and education.
